Ex-CM Jagan visited the Makavarapalem medical college in Narsipatnam, Anakapalli. Police had earlier denied permission for a road show because such events had caused mishaps before.
To ensure everyone’s safety, the police advised Jagan’s team to travel by air from Vizag to Makavarapalem and even arranged a helipad. Despite this, a large number of YSRCP cadre and sympathizers gathered on bikes, causing a massive traffic jam at the Rachapalli junction.
Police set up barricades to manage the crowd, but the congestion left many vehicles stranded. Among them was a 108 ambulance that got stuck for nearly 15 minutes. Once the police noticed it, they quickly cleared the route to let the ambulance pass.
The YSRCP cadre had requested permission for a 63 km road rally for Jagan’s convoy. However, expecting severe traffic issues, the police refused to allow it.
