Three Parties, Three Strategies in Jubilee Hills

Jubilee Hills election campaign by three parties

The political battle for the Jubilee Hills constituency is heating up, with Congress, BRS, and BJP each following distinct strategies to win over voters. The ruling Congress is focusing on inclusiveness and reassurance to connect with every section of society. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has been personally meeting influential community leaders, signaling his intent to build broad-based support.

Congress recently announced a long-awaited kabristan and crematorium for Muslims, which has earned positive feedback from minority voters. TPCC leaders Mohammad Shabbir and Mohd Azharuddin are actively meeting Yadav, Goud, Mudiraj, Munnuru Kapu, and other OBC communities to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. Naveen Yadav’s ties with AIMIM are also seen as an advantage in certain areas. There are even reports of informal coordination between Congress and BRS division-level leaders in select pockets.

The BRS, meanwhile, is banking on its past welfare schemes, strong cadre loyalty, and emotional connection with the late Maganti Gopinath. His wife, Maganti Sunitha, and their daughters are personally visiting local bastis to campaign. Party working president KTR and Talasani Srinivasa Yadav are also meeting key community leaders to consolidate the base.

The BJP is taking an ideological route, targeting Hindu-majority areas while highlighting the Prime Minister’s welfare programs and schemes for Muslims. The party is focusing on expanding its Hindu vote bank to boost its overall share in the constituency.

With all three major parties treating Jubilee Hills as a prestige battle, the outcome will play a major role in shaping the narrative for the upcoming local body elections and the 2028 Assembly polls.
