Several people were injured after a speeding Ferrari lost control and rammed into multiple vehicles in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Sunday. The accident occurred near the residence of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, creating panic in the area.
According to preliminary reports, the luxury sports car was travelling at high speed when it moved onto the wrong side of the road. It first hit a light mast located in the middle of the road and then crashed into several parked and moving vehicles, including cars and two wheelers.
Eyewitnesses said the impact was strong enough to push vehicles aside and scatter debris across the stretch. People travelling from the opposite direction sustained injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials are yet to release detailed information about their medical condition.
The crash led to heavy traffic congestion in and around Jubilee Hills, leaving commuters stranded for a considerable time. Police from the Jubilee Hills Police Station reached the spot shortly after being alerted. Traffic was diverted to clear the damaged vehicles and restore movement.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. The incident has once again raised concerns about overspeeding and reckless driving, particularly involving high performance luxury cars on busy city roads.
