After losing the Hero Motocorp manufacturing plant to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is increasingly growing uncomfortable with Center giving priority to the Telugu States. The Congress Chief Minister on several platforms alleged that the Center is trying to belittle Karnataka and thereby degrade his party’s prestige to give a chance to the local BJP unit to regain power in the state.

On the same lines, Siddaramaiah appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to treat Karnataka on par with both the Telugu states. He reportedly opposed all the special packages and statuses to the Telugu states which would result in an unhealthy competition between the neighboring states. It is said that the Prime Minister assured him each and every state is equal to him and his government. Narendra Modi was in Bangalore on Wednesday to live witness ISRO sending MOM in to Mars Orbit.
