kcr-assembly

Today, KTR revealed that KCR would be coming to the Assembly for Governor’s speech day after tomorrow. He also said that KCR would attend certain events following that.

KTR further said that as a son, he wouldn’t want his father to come to the Assembly due to the cheap talk of Congress party.

KTR said none from the Congress party matched KCR.

While the sentiments of a son can be understood, it has to be seen how active KCR would be in the Assembly.

He is the leader of opposition and its barely the second or third time that he is attending the Assembly. Revanth Reddy has been calling KCR to attend the Assembly and discuss people’s issues. He has time and again said that his experience would come handy to them.

But there is talk in Telangana political circles that KCR is using his attendance as a mere ploy to avoid being disqualified from state Assembly.

It is known that in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, Jagan was threatened with disqualification if he didn’t attend Assembly. So, he attended on the day of Governor’s speech and didn’t bother to attend the Budget session.

In Telangana, it is being said that KCR too will apply Jagan’s formula. Incidentally, in Telangana, no leader has spoken about disqualification so far.

But a rule is a rule and if a member does not attend Assembly for at least one day in 60 business days, the person would be disqualified.

The Telangana budget Sessions will start on March 12 and go on till March 27. KCR is said to have met with party senior leaders at his farmhouse and discussed about MLC seats. As per its strength, BRS will get 1 MLC seat. So, KCR is said to have discussed if the party would like to continue an existing MLC or go for a new candidate.

In all, KCR’s ‘movement’ has become talk of great interest in Telangana circles!
