Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is eyeing a ‘clean sweep’ to bag all the MLC seats that will go to polls in coming February. As many as 21 MLC seats will fall vacant in February due to the the inadequate formation of the Council in the AP Reorganization Act. TRS only holds 4 MLC seats in the council and increased the count to 22 by encouraging defections from other parties.
KCR wants to bag all the MLC seats to satisfy the huge number of aspirants of the party. KCR had targeted a giant killer in Nalgonda in this election. Congress has majority in the district to bag an MLC seat and the party is planning to field Leader of Opposition K. Jana Reddy’s son, Mr Raghuveera Reddy from this seat.
But KCR is in no mood to spare the seat and is planning to bag the seat by attracting Nalgonda MLA Mr Komatireddy Venkata Reddy and his brother, former Bhongir MP, Mr Rajagopala Reddy to TRS.
