However, he will remain in judicial custody at Tihar Jail as he got interim bail only in the Enforcement Directorate (ED) case and the CBI’s case against him is still under investigation.

Kejriwal filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging his arrest. A bench of Justices Sanjv Khanna and Dipankar Datta referred this petition to a higher bench.

The top bench, after hearing the case, granted interim bail for Kejriwal. The magistrate stated that it wouldn’t order Kejriwal to step down from his Chief Minister’s position.

The court said that as people elected him as Chief Minister, the magistrate wouldn’t take a call on it. It stated that it is upon Kejriwal to remain in the position or not.
