Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday made a surprise visit to King Koti palace. He reportedly saw the entire palace, the Roads and Buildings department office under construction at Erramanzil Colony.While the exact purpose of the sudden visit is not known, it is said that KCR may be contemplating the historical palace to setup the high court of Telangana state there. Mr.Rao reportedly expressed his apprehensions of a possible parking problem there for the vehicles of the staff and visitors but the officials ensured him that there is sufficient space for parking vehicles at the palace located adjacent to King Koti Government hospital.
KCR had been lobbying for a separate high court for Telangana state during his last two visits to Delhi. He even met the Chief Justice of India in his last visit requesting him to divide the existing Hyderabad High Court as soon as possible. The Chief Minister also visited the R&B office located adjacent to Jalasoudha building which was being considered for usage as the CM’s camp office.
