Revanth Reddy’s Kodangal has been the hotspot of Telangana with PCC President Revanth Reddy contesting from there. All eyes are on the constituency as Revanth Reddy is the CM candidate of Congress and BRS wants to defeat him at any cost.
Meanwhile, violence has erupted in Kodangal and an Attempt to murder case has been booked against BRS Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy for attacking a man Kura Naresh in Kodangal.
On the wee hours of the 25th, Naresh completed a wedding decor and was returning when the MLA and his men intercepted him and fired on him for supporting Congress.
They reportedly beat him with stones, and sticks and abused him.
The MLA and his men have been booked under multiple sections.
Patnam Narender Reddy is the brother of BRS minister Patnam Mahender Reddy.
Patnam Narender Reddy defeated Revanth Reddy in the 2018 elections with close to 9K votes majority. Later, Revanth Reddy contested as Malkajgiri Parliament and was elected as the MP there. He is back again to Kodangal, his home seat.
