Dastagiri, who became an approver in the Viveka murder case, had lodged a complaint with the Kadapa SP alleging that he had received death threats from YCP leaders.
He complained that the Tondoor police had filed illegal cases against him.
Dastgiri complained to the SP that Pedda Gopal from Tondoor in particular is often targeting and harassing him. “He is looking to finish me in some way,” Dastgiri is alleging.
After complaining, Dastgiri also spoke to the media and narrated how YSRCP leaders are trying to eliminate him for being a witness in the murder case.
Dastgiri said he had also explained to CBI SP Ram Singh that a false case had been registered against him.
The police department reportedly assured additional forces to Dastgiri’s security.
Dastgiri is the former driver of Vivekananda Reddy and is also the eyewitness to the murder. The entire CBI case on this issue was built on his testimony.
