NDTV was one of those few channels left in the country that had some spine to question the central government. But after Adani took over NDTV, the channel’s USP, Ravish Kumar, also resigned.

According to the latest reports, NDTV faced a loss of Rs 10.16 crore in Q3 FY’24, compared to a profit of Rs 15.18 crore in the same quarter last year. The total money earned from their operations also dropped by 7% to Rs 97.95 crore.

The company pointed out that their spending went up by 29% due to regional channel costs and re-launching their business channel, which is currently in an investment phase. In total, they spent Rs 110.23 crore in Q3 FY’24, marking a 24.8% increase.

NDTV has expanded its news channels from two to five in the last financial year. They successfully relaunched their business news channel, ‘NDTV Profit,’ and have plans to introduce two more regional channels soon.
