TDP and Janasena had decided to go together in the 2024 elections. Both of them are busy finalizing seats. On the other side, despite cadres and people not in favor of the BJP joining the alliance, both Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan want the BJP in the alliance.
That is because they are worried about the Central Government helping Jagan Mohan Reddy behind the scenes as it did in 2019.
Whenever the topic crops up, both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan appear desperate for the BJP.
The other day, Lokesh was asked about BJP joining the alliance.
“Firstly, more than anything else, they should join us in fighting the Government. There is no use in only joining us. It is important to fight along with us,” Lokesh said.
Lokesh’s reply comes as a better one than Chandrababu’s and Pawan Kalyan’s on this topic.
It is clearly evident that the BJP is helping Jagan Mohan Reddy in all ways. Right from delaying cases to giving loans flouting all the rules, Jagan is getting absolute assistance from the BJP-led Central Government.
Also, the BJP has repeatedly mentioned that it will not join the alliance with TDP.
While Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan can always indulge in back-end talks, it is not at all wise to appear desperate as they should be prepared for the scenario of BJP not joining too.
Lokesh handled it well and that is how it should be.
