
India Today’s C-Voter survey of preferred CM candidates in Tamil Nadu is out now and has shocked political parties, as TVK leader Vijay has shown potential dominance over all other parties except DMK.
According to the survey reports, DMK’s MK Stalin was preferred by 27% of respondents, securing the first position, while TVK leader Thalapathy Vijay took the second position with 18%.

Following Vijay, ADMK’s E. Palaniswami holds the third position with 10%, and BJP’s K. Annamalai ranks fourth with 9%.
These survey results have surprised Tamil Nadu’s political parties, as Vijay has gained significant public attention within a short period in politics.

Following this, some political experts have stated that Vijay has a strong opportunity to make an impact in the 2026 elections. Once he completes the shooting of his last movie, Jana Nayagan, and enters full-time politics with a well-planned strategy, he could achieve significant success in the 2026 state elections.
However, it remains to be seen how Vijay will carry forward his political journey in the future and whether he will emerge as a major opposition to DMK in the 2026 state elections.
