Each volunteer will get 200 Rupees to purchase the highest circulated Newspaper to keep them informed about Government development and welfare schemes and later to educate the people.

Even though the largest circulated Newspaper is Eenadu, the money is going to Sakshi. Now the same scheme has been extended to Secretariat Staff.

The Government has allocated 10.45 Crore Rupees for four months (December to March) for the Newspaper allowance of the employees in village and ward secretariats.

This will serve the dual purpose of increasing the revenue of Sakshi as well as circulation.

Usually, 2-3 copies in the secretariat will serve the purpose but the government wants each and every employee to buy their own copy for obvious reasons.

Furthermore, it will increase the availability of Sakshi in public places with elections fast approaching.
