The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy had been extensively trying to drag on the Kodi Kathi case. After the NIA wrapped the investigation and reported that there is no conspiracy in the case, Jagan moved the AP high court.
Jagan filed a petition at the AP high court asking for a detailed and in-depth investigation of the Kodi Kathi case. His argument is that the NIA completed the investigation in a name-sake manner.
However, the NIA was clear and affirmative in their response as they asked the high court to dispose of the case as it has no merit. The NIA made it clear that they had already investigated the case and found no other criminal motive or political conspiracy.
“We didn’t find any traces of political conspiracy in the case. Barring the accused, Srinivas Rao, we didn’t find anyone directly involved with the case. The argument that there is political motive and conspiracy has no credence. The court is better off disposing the case.” The NIA stated.
Given NIA’s clear argument that there is no conspiracy in the case, it has to be seen what will be the high court’s verdict.
