The post-polling tensions are still continuing in Andhra Pradesh. Especially, in Palnadu, the violence is still not under control.
The police officials are struggling to bring the law and order in place. Already, they implemented section 144 in the region and are closely monitoring the situation.

The police officials put their focus on the Narasaraopeta, Macharla and Gurajala constituencies. A total of 19 watch parties have been recruited to monitor the situation.
Guntur Range IG Sarvasreshta Tripati, along with Palnadu SP Bindu Madhav, is monitoring the situation personally by staying in Macharla.

Meanwhile, the cops have taken two YSRCP MLAs into their custody. Kasu Mahesh Reddy from Narasaraopeta and Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy from Macharla have been placed under house arrest already. Ramakrishna Reddy’s brother Venkatram Reddy was also put under house arrest.
The cops have strictly instructed and warned those who are indulging in violent activities. Over the last two days, several groups were formed and have been attacking one another.

The high-level officials of both YSRCP and TDP have made statements which triggered the situation a little further. The officials hope to bring the situation under control by the end of the day.
