Pawan Kalyan’s Mega Green Plan to Change AP’s Face!

Pawan Kalyan launches seed ball drive

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Environment Minister K. Pawan Kalyan officially launched an ambitious statewide ecological campaign. The goal is to prepare and distribute 2.5 crore seed balls to aggressively boost the state’s green cover and restore biodiversity.

The Environment Minister kicked off the initiative at the Mulapadu Butterfly Park in the NTR district. To set an example, he personally joined school students in mixing soil and molding organic seed balls. He also planted a Tella Poniki sapling the wood traditionally used to make Andhra’s famous Kondapalli toys under the central government’s green initiative.

The massive drive, named ‘Haritha Samaram,’ is designed to run until June 15 across all districts. It aims to transform environmental conservation into a full-fledged citizen’s movement. The preparation phase will actively involve political leaders, local youth, students, and women from self-help (DWCRA) groups over the next ten days.

Once the initial seed balls are dried and ready, the Forest Department will begin a massive dispersal strategy timed perfectly with the monsoon months of July and August. While many seed balls will be scattered manually, the state plans to deploy advanced drone technology to drop them over dense forests, riverbeds, and steep, inaccessible hilly terrains where ground teams cannot reach.

Speaking at the venue, Pawan Kalyan urged citizens to plant trees as a habit rather than a one-day celebration. He emphasized that every single organic seed ball cast during this drive represents a direct promise for a healthier, climate-resilient future for the next generation.
