It was 42 years back that the Telugu Desam Party was founded by late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Today, on 43rd Foundation Day, CM Chandrababu Naidu hoisted the party flag and garlanded the statue of NTR.
Party general secretary Nara Lokesh, state president Palla Srinivas Yadav, politburo members, senior leaders and people’s representatives from different walks of life, participated in the event.
Celebrations are being held across the state and video clippings of party foundation, NTR’s glorious journey and Chandrababu Naidu’s achievements will be shown all over the district.
It has to be noted that TDP came to power 6 times of the 10 times it contested in polls. The party stood as a viable alternative to Congress rule.
As the celebrations go on, state Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan posted wishes on his X handle. He expressed his happiness over TDP completing 42 years and entering 43rd year. He lauded that the party established in 1982 by NTR provided an alternative voice to Telugu people.
It has been a party that brought about monumental changes and made a mark nationally. Pawan Kalyan took the opportunity to congratulate Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and Palla Srinivas Yadav. He wished the leaders and cadre and added that he hoped that TDP would be the voice of people in days to come.
