Andhra Pradesh Government officials have almost finished finalizing the latest estimates of Polavaram Project. Central Government has recognized the project as National Project and will be bearing the Project Cost according to the latest estimates.

According to the costs in 2013-14, the project will be costing a whopping 48000 Crore. Rehabilitation and Relief alone will cost 34000-35000 Crore which will is in accordance to 2013 Land Acquisition Act. Previous estimations of the project are 16010 Crore only.
Inordinate delays over the years have escalated the costs. Polavaram Project Authority Officials are sitting with the state officials to finalize the estimations and once they are finalized, they will be forwarded to the Union Government.
