Ganesha idol styled as Revanth Reddy

Ganesh Chaturthi has arrived, and the streets are full of colourful pandals with idols of Lord Ganesha in unique forms. Every year, organisers design creative depictions of the deity to draw in devotees, and this time is no different.

In Goshamahal, Aghapura, one idol is drawing attention for its striking resemblance to Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. The pandal, called Telangana Rising, has been organised by Fisheries chairman Mettu Sai Kumar and is gaining curiosity among visitors.

The idol shows Ganesha in a white shirt and black trousers with a green scarf, a look often associated with Revanth Reddy. Photos and videos of this pandal have now gone viral across social media platforms.

Ganesh Chaturthi is often celebrated with idols reflecting themes from society and current affairs. While such creativity is admired, linking the festival to a political figure has sparked debate. Many devotees feel the celebrations should remain above politics.
