Revanth Reddy is not even a week old as the Chief Minister of Telangana but is already getting noticed by the people.
Demolishing the fence around Pragathi Bhavan, holding Praja Darbar to meet people, going to the hospital to inquire about KCR’s health, respecting seniors like Jana Reddy, and things like that put Revanth Reddy in a positive light.
He is not in a rush to take revenge on KCR or undo things that happened in the previous Government.
Revanth Reddy is known to be a very aggressive politician. Be it in giving speeches or making political moves, he always comes across someone who is unapologetic.
Now, the question is how he managed to get this clarity.
Probably, the answer is present across the border in the form of Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Immediately after coming to power in 2019, Jagan was in a mad rush to change the capital, renaming schemes, arresting TDP leaders, etc. He gave a clear impression to the people that he was out there to take revenge on Chandrababu Naidu, his community, and the media that did not support him.
Later, we saw him demolish Praja Vedhika which was built with Public Money. That was the first of many decisions where the public completely disapproved of Jagan.
People did not take much time to understand Jagan was only into witch-hunting and not focused on development.
They also came to know that Jagan does not understand a word about respecting elders and coexisting.
From then to today, the opinion about Jagan only worsened among the people.
Revanth Reddy obviously was observing what could go wrong when a novice like Jagan or himself becomes Chief Minister all of a sudden.
He seems to have noted every blunder of Jagan and vowed not to repeat them.
In fact, in witch-hunting, Revanth Reddy has more reasons to hurry than Jagan. Chandrababu did not do anything to Jagan or YSR. But KCR humiliated Revanth by jailing him in Vote for Note case and prevented him even from attending his daughter’s marriage.
But then, Revanth Reddy was not blinded by hate like Jagan. He may take his revenge at a later date but will not rush mindlessly like how Jagan did.
Luckily, he also has Jagan as an example to know what he should not do.
