Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee is trying its best to make a strong comeback in the political sphere of the state through the upcoming general elections.
As a part of it, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s visit to Andhra has been planned. Revanth will be participating in a public gathering in Visakhapatnam on March 11. The meeting is held in support of the Vizag Steel Plant employees, opposing the privatization of the organisation.
This is Revanth’s first visit to AP after assuming the Telangana Chief Minister’s role. He has been a vital part of the party’s success in Telangana. AP Congress must be hoping to see him create the same magic in the Andhra as well.
However, the political landscapes of Andhra and Telangana are very different. Congress is a big party in Telangana while it lost its base in Andhra long back.
Only after Sharmila took over the party, Congress is gaining some momentum in Andhra. But challenging biggies like TDP, Jana Sena and YCP will be a herculean task for Congress. In that aspect, we have to see how impactful Revanth can be in helping APCC.
