Security is beefed up in Andhra Pradesh Secretariat to restrict the flow of unofficial visitors. Particularly, the Chief Minister’s office in the 8th floor of L block is seeing several unofficial visitors. Going forward, only visitors with yellow colour passes will be allowed to Chief Minister’s office.
Normal visitors will be given white passes and visitors coming to meet Ministers and their secretaries will be given green colour passes. one of the two lifts in the East of L Block will be dedicated to VIPs coming to the CMO. The other lift will only go till 6th floor. The other two lifts in the building will only go till 7th floor.
These steps are taken to improve the Chief Minister’s security. The Chief Secretary, IYR Krishna Rao and CM’s security officials have reviewed the security of the secretariat and the Chief Minister and decided up on these measures. They have decided to review the security on time to time basis from now.
