Sub-standard Food Served to Revanth Reddy

Over the days, we have seen raids being made in various places by food safety officials. We had seen visuals of sub-standard food in Gurukul hostels, other government hostels and private eateries.

Now, the hygiene issue has popped up in Telangana Secretariat. The number of food poisoning cases are growing by the day complain Secretariat employees.

What’s surprising is that right from CMO to ministers’ peshis, the same sub-standard food is being supplied. The same quality food is being supplied to those in CS level and many other top officials, complain Secretariat insiders.

The employees are demanding that the food has to be tested on a daily basis. In fact, many complaints have been lodged against food suppliers.

Meanwhile, breaking protocol, the ministers and their staff are getting food from home. Normally outside food is not allowed into Secretariat. The employees rue that the protocol food is being cooked in unhygienic conditions with sub-standard quality products.

Some officials are overlooking the issue for their personal gains, say insiders. Since a lot of higher-ups come from other states, the quality is of utmost importance, say Secretariat employees.

Knowing of this, CM Revanth Reddy is said to have decided to take immediate action. He said those trying to spoil the name of the government will be caught.

For now, the talk is if the Secretariat food is not hygienic, what will the state of affairs be in other government institutions where food is given and private food places.
