Suneetha Narreddy, daughter of slain leader YS Vivekananda Reddy, visited the office of the Kadapa SP to discuss recent developments in the case. The meeting also addressed the petition filed in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of bail for the accused in the Viveka murder case.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Suneetha expressed her concern over the violent incidents that took place over the past two days in Pulivendula prior to ZPTC bypoll. She said the situation reminded her of the gruesome murder of her father, which still haunts her even after all these years.
Suneetha recalled that although her father was brutally hacked with an axe, it was initially declared a heart attack. She alleged that those involved threatened the police and tampered with the crime scene to destroy evidence related to the murder. This, according to her, was a deliberate attempt to shield the culprits.
She further stated that soon after the murder, she was forced to sign a letter claiming that Adinarayana Reddy, Satish Reddy, and BTech Ravi were behind the crime. Suneetha said she refused to sign the letter and accused followers of Avinash Reddy of threatening police officials at the time.
Drawing a parallel to the current situation, she said similar tactics were now being used again. She suspects that Avinash Reddy is connected to the recent attack on her relative Suresh Reddy. Suneetha said she has been fighting for justice in her father’s murder case for six long years, but no punishment has been served to the actual culprits so far.
She also condemned the recent rumours being circulated, suggesting that she and her husband Rajasekhara Reddy were responsible for Viveka’s murder. Suneetha firmly stated that those who killed Viveka must be punished, and concluded by reaffirming her commitment to continue fighting for justice.
