Around 10 AM, the Tamil Nadu election trends are throwing up a big surprise.
TVK has taken a strong lead with 106 seats, clearly emerging as the frontrunner in the early count. AIADMK is in second place with 77 seats, trying to stay in the race.
The biggest shock, however, is DMK slipping to just 51 seats.
What stands out even more is what’s happening at the constituency level. As per early trends, 33 out of 34 DMK ministers are trailing. That is a massive signal. It is not just a dip in numbers, it points to serious dissatisfaction on the ground.
These are still early trends, but the surprising pattern is visible. If this continues, it could mark a major political shift in Tamil Nadu. For now, all eyes are on whether TVK can hold this momentum and turn it into a historic result alone or a hung on cards.
