TDP and BJP have started bracing up for the voting on Private Member Bill demanding Special Status to Andhra Pradesh. Both the parties have asked its members including ministers to compulsorily attend the session today. TDP Supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Chandrababu Naidu asked all his MPs to vote in favour of the bill.

BJP naturally will ask its members to vote against the bill. It has to be seen if the state MPs will also be forced to vote against the bill which will be detrimental to the party’s interests in the state. But then BJP do not have enough numbers in the house and so every vote is crucial.
We will have to see if the Speaker intelligently takes up the voting through Voice Vote and say the bill is not passed to steer the government out of trouble. If the voting happens through division, than things will get worse for BJP. If the bill happens to pass, it will be a big embarrassment to the ruling party.
