TDP Takes Over Hindupur Municipality

Hindupur represented by Balakrishna has gone for municipal elections and goes without saying, the ruling TDP made its mark by winning the chairman’s seat. It shows that TDP is spreading its roots once again in local bodies.

Ramesh who is the sixth ward counselor is the new municipal chairman of Hindupur. He polled 23 votes. Hindupur MLA Balakrishna and MP Parthasarathi were present to vote.

Out of 40 council members, 23 voted for Ramesh, while the YSRCP candidate got 14 votes, 3 didn’t attend voting.

In Eluru, both the deputy mayors are from TDP who won unanimously. Umamaheswar Rao and Durgabhavani are the newly elected.

In Nellore, minority candidate Tehseen supported by TDP took over as the deputy mayor. MLa Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said he supported her candidature following minister Narayana’s guidelines. It was a gift to Chandrababu, Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan by the local MP and MLA, they proclaimed.

In Nellore Buchireddypalem, TDP supported members became deputy vice chairmans. First vice chairman is Eratipalli Sivareddy from 9th ward and second vice chairman is 8th ward’s Pathan Nasreen.

The council elections were postponed in Piduguralla as YSRCP members didn’t turn up while the election was postponed in NTR district’s Nandigama due to lack of quorum.




The polls show that the dominating Reddy community and minorities from North Coasta are swinging towards the ruling TDP.
