Telugu Desam Party in its polit bureau meeting held today in NTR trust bhavan finalized the Rajya Sabha nominees for the upcoming elections. Telugu Desam currently has 74 MLAs with which it can bag 2 Rajya Sabha seats comfortably. Polit bureau member Nandamuri Hari Krishna who is away from party affairs these days also attended the meeting but later walked out of it midway.
The party had decided to give the two seats to two leaders belonging to Seema Andhra and Telangana region. Under this calculation, they have decided Thota Sita Maha Lakshmi, TDP West Godavari district President (from Seema Andhra) and Garikapati Ram Mohan Rao (Telangana) as the candidates. There are lot of aspirants for the two seats but after taking several calculations in to consideration, Chandra Babu has decided up on the names. The elections will take place on February 7th.
