Telangana Government which is keen on getting the buildings allotted to Andhra Pradesh for the construction of a new secretariat has taken a new route. It has complained to the Parliamentary Standing Committee about the issue to pressurize Andhra Pradesh.

Telangana Government has brought to the notice of the Committee that these buildings are still under the control of Andhra Pradesh even though they are not being used. The government informed the committee that the buildings are getting to dilapidated state due to no maintenance.
It has also accused of the Central Government of being not pro-active in taking up the case. These buildings were allotted to Andhra Pradesh government for a period of 10 years after the Bifurcation but the government chose to shift to Amaravati even before that.
