Telangana government had issued draft notification for the new districts in the state. The state government is going to create 17 new districts which will take the total number to 27 districts and 58 revenue divisions. Any objections over the new districts can be submitted to collectorates and CCLA offices in the next 30 days.

The objections receiving is more of a formality and the list is likely to be final. Very soon the proposal will be placed before the Assembly and will be ratified. The new districts will come into effect from Dussehra. Some of the new districts were named as Legendary sons of the soil – Acharya Jayashankar and Komaram Bheem.
