Tragedy struck an Indian family when an Indian-American mother finally found the body of her missing 16-year-old daughter, Siri Reddy, at the bottom of a cliff in Texas after using a cell phone tracking app.
Siri Reddy did not show up at pickup time, and her worried mother headed to her school Keystone School in San Antonio. However, there was no trace of her daughter there. The mother then used an app to track her daughter’s phone that led her to a wooded area near Heroes Stadium in Thousand Oaks, some 12 miles away from Reddy’s school.
Meanwhile, the mother reported to the police, who also started the search, but the mother found her daughter at the bottom of a cliff. Though officers tried to revive her, she was pronounced dead on the spot. However, the motive behind the death is still not known.
Her school released a statement and referred to her as an ‘award-winning student.’ “She was a member of the National Honor Society, an award-winning member of the school’s science fair team, a member of the Upper School robotics team and contributed to The Keynote, the student newspaper.”
