Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayalu won in the 2019 elections from the Narasaraopeta Lok Sabha segment. All the assembly segments under the Lok Sabha segment were bagged by YSR Congress and so his victory became easy.
Krishnadevarayulu got a clean image until 2019. But then, after 2019 everything changed. Krishnadevarayalu is not on good terms with the party MLAs and main leaders of his constituency.
He is not even on talking terms with the MLAs of Vinukonda and Chilakaluripeta.
So, there is a risk of cross-voting against him in the Parliament elections.
YSR Congress wants him to shift to Guntur Parliament this time but Krishnadevarayalu is keen on Narasaraopeta only.
The 2024 elections will not be as easy as 2019. TDP improved rapidly in the erstwhile Guntur district. So, the party’s high command is not keen on taking risks.
There are rumors that TDP may field a BC candidate for Guntur Parliament. In that case, Krishnadevarayulu opines Kamma voters of TDP will cross-vote for him and that will benefit him more than anything else, Krishnadevarayalu assumes.
