Tadikonda MLA Undavalli Sridevi has made significant remarks after meeting with TDP President Chandrababu Naidu. Sridevi, a rebel MLA from the YSRCP, met with Chandrababu for about an hour to discuss various important issues, including a potential party switch. She was suspended from the YSRCP on allegations of cross-voting in MLC elections and subsequently moved to Telangana.
After her meeting with Chandrababu Naidu in Srikakulam, Sridevi spoke to the media and mentioned that she had requested security from Chandrababu. She expressed gratitude for the support she received from both Chandrababu Naidu and his son Lokesh during her difficult times. However, she didn’t immediately disclose which party she intends to join, stating that she will make her decision known soon.
Sridevi also welcomed the High Court verdict related to the R-5 Zone issue. She indicated that people in Andhra Pradesh are eagerly waiting for the elections to express their dissatisfaction with the ruling party.
Considering the political dynamics and the existing TDP candidate in the Tadikonda constituency, it might be challenging to allocate the Tadikonda ticket to Sridevi. TDP candidate Sravan Kumar is already actively working in the segment. As per sources, there could be discussions within the TDP about relocating Sridevi to a different Assembly segment where she can be accommodated more effectively.
