Who Will Emerge The Winner In Dubbaka?

Dubbaka Constituency

In the bustling political landscape of the Dubbaka constituency, the upcoming elections have taken center stage, featuring three prominent candidates from different political spectrums.

In Dubbaka Constituency, there are a total of 1,98,100 voters, with 97,019 men and 1,01,081 women. The 2018 elections saw a total of 1,64,281 votes cast, with Ramalinga Reddy from the BRS securing 89,299 votes, Maddul Nageshwar Reddy from the Congress receiving 26,799 votes, and Raghunandan Rao from the BJP gaining 22,595 votes.

Raghunandan Rao (BJP candidate), who secured the third position in the 2018 elections, has since been tirelessly campaigning, aiming to ascend to the top spot. He underscores his achievements, prominently citing developmental projects such as the Mallannasagar irrigation scheme.

On the downside, the BJP lacks a strong presence at the grassroots level, and there is dissatisfaction among party workers with external inductions. Failures in previous election promises and limited influence in his social group are additional challenges.

Prabhakar Reddy, the BRS nominee, emerges as a formidable force with a strong grassroots foundation. His campaign highlights notable initiatives like the distribution of KCR kits and the successful implementation of government schemes, resonating with the local populace.

However, challenges include a lack of unity in the second-category leadership, difficulties in deciding between two MP candidates, opposition to the government, and a higher concentration of non-residents.

Srinivas Reddy, representing Congress, brings with him a rich political legacy inherited from his father, Cheruku Mutyam Reddy. His campaign strategy revolves around connecting with the people and raising concerns, particularly regarding the Mallannasagar project.

His stronghold lies in Congress votes, but challenges include being tainted by his father’s political controversies, a weak cadre strength for Congress, and divided loyalties among three groups.
