BJP Veteran Leader Venkaiah Naidu who is running for the Vice-President Post has resigned as the Union minister last night and the additional charge of Ministry of Urban Development given to Narendra Tomar, I&B to Smriti Irani.

There are some crucial vacancies in the Union Cabinet and Narendra Modi is likely to shuffle the cabinet after the Monsoon session of the Parliament. Speculations are on if an Andhra MP will get a chance to replace Venkaiah Naidu in the Cabinet.
BJP has only two MPs in Andhra Pradesh – Haribabu and Gokaraju Ganga Raju. Haribabu is the party senior and will be the frontrunner. Gokaraju Ganga Raju however has the support of RSS. Haribabu is said to be lenient towards TDP while Gokaraju is not. Let us see who will make it into Modi’s team finally.
