Former Minister Botsa Satyanarayana has been finalized as the YSR Congress’s candidate for the upcoming Vishakapatnam Local Bodies MLC By-election.
The By-election was necessitated due to the disqualification of sitting MLC Vamsi Krishna Srinivas who jumped from YSR Congress to Janasena just before the elections.

The TDP boycotted the 2020 elections at that time. However, in many areas, the party’s fans and leaders contested and won.
But then, it will be a different ball game altogether with YSR Congress no longer in power. TDP can win if it takes this election prestigiously.

In fact, a similar scenario happened in 2017. Despite having an overwhelming majority in the Kadapa Local Bodies, Viveka was defeated by the TDP Candidate.
Botsa may meet the same fate if Chandrababu Naidu takes this election seriously.
Recently Assembly Elections ended up as a big humiliation for Botsa and his family.
Botsa’s family was given five tickets and they lost all of them.
Botsa from Cheepurupalli, his brother Appalanarasaiah from Gajapathinagaram, and his co-brother Baddukonda Appalanaidu from Nelimarla lost by huge margins.
His wife Botsa Jhansi lost in Vishakapatnam Parliament by a record margin. Vizianagaram YSR Congress MP candidate Bellana Chandrasekhar is also a relative of Botsa and he lost as well.
If Botsa loses this MLC election, it may be curtains to his political career.
The results of this election will be out on September 3rd.
