Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu released a White Paper on Polavaram Project the last week and explained to the people the damage caused to the project due to Jagan’s inefficiency.
Tomorrow, the Chief Minister will release the White Paper on Amaravati.
It is known to everyone how Jagan neglected Amaravati in the name of three capitals.
We saw how roads were dug and buildings in the final stages were neglected and some buildings were left in the foundation stage. Water goes into the foundations and can cause issues with the buildings’ strength.
There were attempts to make the master plan unimplementable by giving house sites to the poor in the middle of the key areas of Amaravati.
On Monday, the Chief Minister reviewed with Municipal Administration Minister Narayana, Principal Secretary Anil Kumar Singhal, ADC Chairperson Lakshmi Parthasarathy and CRDA Commissioner Katmaneni Bhaskar at the Secretariat. Some suggestions were made on the topics to be included in the white paper.
Meanwhile, it has to be seen if Chandrababu Naidu will specify a concrete completion date for the project in the White Paper.
The Chief Minister avoided giving such a date in the Polavaram Project saying that it takes time to assess the damage and steps to be taken.
The state has severe financial issues. It is not easy to do things now. It is better for Naidu present a realistic picture instead of promising a date and failing to meet it.
But he will be tempted to give one for political posturing. But this term, Naidu looks so grounded and realistic about such things.
We will have to see what he does!
