The Parliament elections have come to an end recently and Narendra Modi stepped in as the Prime Minister of India for the third time. The Assembly polls have also come to an end in Andhra Pradesh, with TDP claiming the power, in alliance with Janasena party and BJP.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP leaders are blaming EVMs for their defeat. They alleged that the EVMs did not function properly and were tampered.

In this context, the Election Commission received eight applications for checking and verifying the EVMs.

The commission received three applications for Assembly EVMs and eight for the Loksabha.

YSRCP applied for the verification at a polling center at Bobbili and Nellimerla in Vizianagaram.

The applications have been received for one polling station in Gajapatinagar Assembly and 12 polling stations in Ongole from YSRCP again.

The verification process starts within four weeks of filing the election petition. Most likely, there won’t be any change in the result as the counting procedure usually takes place in the most secured and careful manner.




After YS Jagan publicly tweeting that there may be a chance of EVMs hacking, the other leaders are also voicing the same opinion from the party and are not ready to accept the mandate of people.
