YCP MP Eyeing Minister’s Seat In Anantapur?

YSRCP-Talari-RangaiahMany YSR Congress-sitting MPs are not interested to contest this time. Many of them won in Jagan’s wave last time.

Elections are going to be costly this time and moreover, it is not easy to win a Parliament segment which means winning the voters of 6-7 constituencies.

So some of them want to move to assembly to try their luck. Anantapur MP Tallari Rangaiah is one such MP who is not interested in contesting for Parliament.

He is eyeing the Kalyanadurgam assembly segment. But then it is the sitting seat of Minister KV Usha Shricharan. Rangaiah wants this seat because his ‘Boya’ community is decisive here.

Usha Shricharan was previously in TDP and she was the party’s General Secretary. She joined YSR Congress after the 2014 elections and got a ticket in 2019.

She won the election over TDP’s Umamaheswara Naidu with a 20K majority. She became the minister for women and children in the recent cabinet expansion in women and BC quota.

It has to be seen what Jagan will decide!
