Pranitha Subhash made headlines today due to a certain controversy. The actress from Karnataka recently posted a photo while performing the celebration of Bheemana Amavasya, which received a mixed bag of reactions.
Bheemana Amavasya is a Hindu festival mainly celebrated in the southern part of India. It is conducted to ensure the long life of the male members of a family.
In the posted photo, she is seen touching her husband’s feet, which created a ripple effect. Some people love it because she is respecting Hindu culture, while others view it as an example of how patriarchy forces individuals to bow down.
In her caption, Pranitha Subhash mentions that although on the surface, this act may appear to symbolize patriarchy, it holds great significance for her. She also talks about certain rituals where goddesses are treated with equal respect.
Although there were meme pages that trolled her for this, it was her fans who showed their unwavering support. The fans displayed overwhelming respect and love for the actress as she demonstrated her respect for the rituals.
No justification or explanation needed. Hindus ought to stop being defensive about our traditions. This is beautiful. Viva patriarchy!

It’s so difficult to find people like you who understand the diversity & equality of our culture! People these days don’t want to understand the true meaning of feminine & masculine energy because they don’t want other to associate them with misogyny & patriarchy.

I dont get the debate , hindus have to show why we follow every ritual with a scientic reason whereas the mullas sacrifice a goat , do halala, burkha and considered progressive. Just wanted to point the hypocricy

You are lucky to get such a respectable husband, he is even luckier to get such an humble, lovable wife. Personally I oppose this, but Ignore about others, as long as you have clarity on what u are doing. May god bless you both the same or even stronger bond in the years to come
