After being under months of police detention and then house arrest, Andre Tate and his brother Tristan Tate could finally walk free following their release from house arrest. Andrew Tate was arrested in December and was held under police detention until March when his appeal for house arrest was accepted.
The Tate brothers have been accused of Rape and human trafficking and the trial for their case is still pending. They allegedly recruited girls and exploited them to create pornographic content. The former kickboxer turned influencer has a cult like following over social media. His supporters are overwhelmed by the news and consider it as a big victory. However, a huge section of the society was upset about the release.
Tate has always been a controversial figure because of his ‘misogynistic’ statements and his brand of hyper masculinity that he propagates. His Twitter account was suspended in 2017 for such reasons but later after Elon Musk’s take over, it was restored.
The release of Tate brothers has reignited the discourse over the matter and the pending case. Some fans were extremely delighted by the news and they took to Twitter to express their feelings. They are also defending him denying all accusations of rape and exploitation. On the other hand his haters are hitting harshly at him and his supporters calling them as facilitators in crime.
