A Chinese manufacturing company has drawn global attention after distributing a massive cash bonus to its employees. Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd. reportedly handed out nearly 180 million yuan in bonuses. The amount is estimated to be around ₹237 to ₹240 crore.

The distribution took place during the company’s annual gala held on February 13. Thousands of employees attended the celebration. Reports indicate that the company shared nearly 70 percent of its yearly profits with its workforce.

What is usually a routine corporate event turned into a memorable celebration for employees. The scale of the bonus surprised many observers. Workers described the moment as one of the most extraordinary events in the company’s history.

One of the most unusual aspects of the celebration was how the bonuses were distributed. Around 60 million yuan in physical cash, close to ₹79 crore, was placed in large stacks across long tables. Employees were invited on stage individually.

Each employee received a short time to count and collect as many notes as possible. The money they managed to gather during that time became their bonus. The unique format added excitement to the event.

Videos from the celebration quickly spread across social media platforms. Workers were seen laughing and rushing to collect bundles of cash. Many walked away carrying bags and arms full of money.

Reports suggest that nearly 7,000 employees participated in the celebration. Apart from the cash activity, each worker also received an additional bonus of 20,000 yuan. The event became widely discussed online due to its unusual format.

The company’s chairman, Cui Peijun, is known for rewarding employees generously. In previous years he has distributed gifts such as washing machines, jewellery and other valuable items to workers.

Scenes of employees carrying large amounts of cash home felt unusual to many viewers. The event also sparked comparisons with corporate practices in other countries. In India, companies do offer bonuses and profit sharing, but such a spectacle would be rare.
