A 23-year-old man lost his life in a road accident in New Delhi earlier this month. The incident happened in Dwarka’s Sector 11. A speeding SUV allegedly hit his motorcycle on February 3.
The victim, Sahil Dhaneshra, was travelling to work when the collision occurred. According to police, the SUV was driven by a minor. The 17-year-old driver reportedly did not have a licence.
Police produced the teenager before the Juvenile Justice Board. He later received interim bail to appear for his board examinations. The development has triggered strong reactions from the victim’s family.
Sahil’s mother has accused the teenager of reckless driving. She also alleged that he was filming reels while driving. According to her, the driver did not apply brakes after hitting the motorcycle.
The grieving mother is now demanding strict action and justice for her son. Sahil was in the final semester of his BBA course. He had also secured admission in Manchester for further studies.
