Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: Who’s Going to Win This ‘Cage Match’

Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg: Who's Going to Win This 'Cage Match' Since Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, two of the world’s most prominent tech billionaires, agreed to a cage fight, social media has been buzzing. On June 21, Musk, the owner of Twitter, reacted to a tweet with, “I’m up for a cage match if he is, lol.” The owner of Facebook and Instagram parent company Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, subsequently tweeted a copy of Musk’s tweet with the message “Send me a location.”

Musk then said two words: “Vegas Octagon.” Then he tweeted, “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus,’ where I just lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.” Lex Fridman, a Russian-American computer scientist, and podcaster, has recently written about training sessions with the two billionaires.

Fridman tweeted on Wednesday, “I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday.” I’m blown away by his strength, power, and expertise on his feet and on the ground. It was spectacular. It’s motivating to see Elon and Mark practicing martial arts, but I believe the world would benefit considerably more if they trained in martial arts but did not fight in the cage. However, as Elon points out, the most exciting conclusion is the most likely… I’ll always be there for them.”

On June 25, Fridman shared a video of himself practicing jiu-jitsu with Zuckerberg, who had been doing so since 2020. He also uploaded the whole training session to YouTube.

While it is unclear whether the scheduled cage battle will take place, social media users have been arguing about the outcome of the match. Many others have also shared memes, including mocked-up banners promoting the fight.

“You are the only individual who has ever rolled with both Zuck and Musk…”So, who do you think will win?” said one Twitter user. “Imagine the bragging rights of having a 1v1 fight with the richest man in the world,” another user said.
