Fear is growing among people travelling on the Srisailam to Hyderabad ghat road, with many drivers saying they feel unsafe, especially during solo journeys. The route passes through the Nallamala forest, where traffic movement is low and immediate help is limited.
Several travellers have reported suspicious incidents along the road. They claim unknown individuals suddenly appear and attempt to stop or surround vehicles that are travelling alone, raising fears of possible robbery attempts.
A woman devotee recently shared her experience to alert others. She said some people tried to stop her vehicle while she was passing through the forest, but she chose not to halt and managed to escape safely.
Poor mobile network coverage and long stretches of dark forest road have increased anxiety among commuters. As a result, many are now avoiding travelling alone on this stretch, particularly during late hours.
Travellers are urging others to move in groups and avoid stopping for strangers. They have also demanded improved safety measures, including regular police patrolling on the ghat road to ensure public security.
