A 25-year-old student from Ramanaidu Film School in Film Nagar was arrested by Film Nagar police for stalking a 34-year-old professor from the same institute.
The student, identified as N Bharat Reddy from Anantapur, was taken into judicial custody. Despite repeated warnings and even expulsion from the institute, he did not stop harassing the professor.
The 34-year-old professor had been working at the school for two years. Bharat Reddy joined the school in August 2024 to learn direction. Although she repeatedly warned him, he continued troubling her, forcing her to complain to the principal.
Even after being expelled from the film school, Bharat Reddy kept harassing her. He expressed love, proposed marriage, and continued to disturb her.
Things escalated when he began stalking her online, sending messages, and following her in person. He tracked her through her Instagram activity. On August 22, he followed her to Moonshine Pub, and on August 25, to the Writer’s Room inside the studio premises.
Unable to bear the harassment, the professor lodged a complaint with the police. Bharat Reddy was arrested, produced before the court, and is now in judicial custody.
