Fruit Vendor’s ‘Waka Waka’ Rendition Goes Viral

Fruit Vendor's 'Waka Waka' Fruit and vegetable vendors on the street may use unusual ways to attract clients. A fruit salesman in Pakistan is shown in a video performing an improvised rendition of Shakira’s popular song ‘Waka Waka’ in order to sell his mangoes, and it is a success among netizens.

The footage was released a few days ago by an Instagram meme page named @hamzachoudharyofficial and has since gone viral, garnering 4.4 million views. The man sang his rendition of the 2010 mega-hit song Mango, Mango while shouting Mango, Mango,’ and it is amusing to listen to.

Customers are heard encouraging them to buy mangoes from him and give them to their children in “raw form” or as “juice.” The footage is said to be from the city of Attock in Pakistan’s Punjab state’s northwestern Punjab region. “Only Attock has this type of talent,” the clip’s description reads.

Netizens complimented the fruit seller’s excitement in the video. “Welcome to Pakistan,” one user said. “Pakistani Shakira,” someone else said. “Shakira in the multiverse,” a third wrote. “Respect for having this much faith, if it leads to sales, it’s not stupid,” said another. “I want this version on Spotify,” another netizen quipped.
