That’s great news for YouTube content providers! YouTube has indeed made changes to its monetization rules, allowing channels with a lower number of subscribers to earn money. Previously, channels needed to have 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours to be eligible for monetization.
With the new rules, channels with 500 subscribers can now apply for monetization. In addition, within the last 90 days, at least three videos should have been uploaded on YouTube, and there should be either 3000 hours of views in a year or 3 million short views in the last 90 days. Content creators who meet these conditions can apply for monetization on YouTube.

The new rules will be implemented first in the United States, Canada, Britain, Taiwan, and South Korea, and then in other countries. While the specific timeline for India’s implementation is not known yet, YouTube’s changes will provide opportunities for smaller creators to monetize their content and earn money.
