A disturbing case from Hyderabad has shocked residents. In Jawahar Nagar, Madhuranagar, a house owner, Ashok Yadav, secretly installed cameras inside his tenant’s washroom through an electrician.
The 23-year-old woman, a private employee, lived there with her husband. On October 4, she informed the owner about a faulty bulb in the washroom. Following his instructions, the electrician placed a hidden camera behind the bulb holder.
Ashok Yadav reportedly recorded private videos of the tenant without her knowledge. The truth came out on October 13 when a screw from the bulb holder fell, and her husband found the camera while checking. Shocked, the couple first assumed the electrician was at fault and approached the owner.
Instead of helping, Ashok tried to scare them, saying the electrician would harm them if jailed. Sensing something was wrong, the couple filed a police complaint. Ashok later confessed and was arrested. Police are now searching for the electrician, Chintu.
The camera footage has since gone viral, raising public outrage. Netizens say tenants should always check washrooms and bedrooms before renting. Cases like this, earlier seen in hotels and hostels, now show how personal spaces in homes too are at risk.
